direct mail

One of the best ways of generating business is by keeping in touch with your exisiting customers. Clients who have purchased from you before are likely to remember you and be open to purchasing again. And if they're not willing to use you again, it pays to find out why!

Direct mail is the most economic and effective method. It enables you to communicate personally, rather than through display advertising and you can include leaflets or brochures, money-off coupons, loyalty points and so on. If your data on purchasing can show you who bought what from you, your communications can be tailored to each individual.

Take a car showroom/garage for example.

Customers who bought in the last three months could get a letter thanking them for their purchase and checking everything is as they expected with the vehicle. Include a discount voucher for a full valet and clean.

Customers who purchased up to a year ago would get a leaflet detailing the service and spares deals, air conditioning regassing service and the skill of the engineers and standard of the workshop. Also included would be a list of the latest sat nav upgrades and other gadgets available for their model of car.

Think about your business - what could you offer, or is there news you need to tell your customers and clients?

Jon Tarrant Design & Print can create direct mailshots which range from simple mail merging through to full personalisation, including graphics, photos etc. Ask for details
